Legal Aspects

Make sure the machine you buy or use is licenced and legal for your own safety. Want to know of the machine you have or want to buy is legal? Contact the Department of Health / Radiation, Tel.: +27 21 948 6162 or go to their website.

The Rife Resonator® brand was established by our company in 1995 and is licenced by the SA Health Department as well as carrying international recognition and licencing. Based on the success of the technology and our devices, the industry has now become a free for all, with little regard for the law and safety requirements.

Why are unlicenced machines potentially dangerous?

There are a growing number of people building machines at home and offering them as so called “Rife Resonators”. Without the licence, there is no way of knowing if these machines are safe for use as they have not been tested in any way for electrical or medical safety.

The licences granted are not just a matter of red tape, they are there to protect the user in ensuring the machines are safe for use. Buying an unlicenced machine is essentially the same as driving a car, the brakes of which have not been tested or a car that is not roadworthy. The people selling these devices are not interested in the safety aspects or potential dangers, it is the user that will suffer the consequences.

Information from uncontrolled websites with regards to hertz values form the basis upon which many of these unlicenced frequency machines are built. The websites only offer hertz values for frequencies to be used. What many people do not realise is that the information on websites might not be correct and that there are other parameters such as waveshape, pulsation and modulation aspects that are as important for the efficacy of the frequency than just the hertz value alone. There is also no sense of responsibility with regards to the claims that are made and or to whom the machines are sold. This has led to many (sometimes literally) shocking devices being sold to the unsuspecting user, encouraging them to start up their own practices and treat others without having any suitable qualifications to do so. Some companies are even offering courses that after a matter of days, the person who has attended the course is awarded a “practitioner number” ( not accredited with any recognised authority of course) and encouraged go out and treat others professionally by starting up their own “Rife Clinics”! It would be funny if it was not such a serious matter.

We have been contacted regularly by people who have bought illegal machines and are now experiencing unexplained” side effects. The amount of unlicenced machines currently being sold is astounding, as is the false information given regarding the licencing requirements by those trying to sell their unlicenced machines. Unsuspecting users are being told that these type of devices do not need to be licenced and or as the Rife Resonator® has built a well respected brand name for our products and service, many of the unlicenced machines will be marketed as the same as our product or even carry our licence numbers!

One such producer of unlicenced machines even goes so far as to validate why he does not believe in the licencing system and because his machines have passed some tests that were done abroad that this shows his machines are safe for use. This is like arguing …” I don’t believe in the drivers licencing system and so I choose not to have a valid drivers licence…. The tests that are often done on some of the unlicenced machines are irrelevant or minor safety aspects of the machines, although they look good to the lay person. It is like saying, …”My car is not roadworthy, but I have  certificate to show that the air conditioner works!..”

Ask yourself this. If the unlicenced machines on offer are that safe for use and would pass the necessary licencing requirements, then why not licence them?

The reason is that many of the machines being produced would not pass the licencing tests and requirements. That should make one think as to how safe are they for use?

The government has recently changed the law pertaining to the consequences of using unregistered devices. Although it has always been necessary for these devices to be licenced, there has been little consequence to date for using illegal machines. The authorities have recently passed laws making it easier for the inspectors ( who are now also starting to visit clinics and enquire as to the legality of the equipment they see being used ) to enforce these consequences should unregistered machines be found in use. The consequences include heavy fines and or jail sentences to those operating with unlicenced devices.

As for the consumer, until now there has been very little one could do if you have bought an unlicenced illegal machine and only realized it is unsafe or of questionable quality. The new Consumers Protection Act “CPA” protects the consumer from being mislead in advertising and claims made regarding the product being to them. In other words if you have been led to believe that the machine you have bought is a safe and legal machine for you, however it is not licenced then you as a consumer can hold the people you bought the machine from accountable.

Please ensure that the devices you are using are licenced. Contact the Dept. of Radiation directly on + 27 21 948 6162 and quote the brand name of the device applicable. They will inform you if that device is licenced and legal for use in SA. Don’t find yourself on the wrong side of the law. Is it worth the risk?

Should you have any queries you are welcome to contact us and we will guide you.
